Taylor Fox of San Juan Hills won her third consecutive Division 1 title to lead Orange County divers at the CIF-SS championships in Mission Viejo on Thursday.

The county also crowned two boys champions in Nolan Rooker of San Clemente in Division 1 and Grant Schneider of Capistrano Valley Christian in Division 4.

Orange County notched two titles on Wednesday on the first day of the championships at Marguerite Aquatics Complex. Laguna Beach’s Chase Shipp won Division 2 boys and Sage Hill’s Ennika Carlson took Division 3 girls.

Fox, senior committed to Texas, scored 582.20 points to outdistance sophomore Gianna Kenrick of Mater Dei by just over 38 points.

Rooker, a senior bound for Northwestern, captured his first section title by scoring 610.85. He outdistanced runner-up Valentino Nieto of Santa Margarita by 44 points.

Schneider, a junior committed to Stanford, defended his Division 4 crown with a score of 595.00.

Shipp, a junior committed to Harvard, earned his first section title after twice finishing as a Division 1 runner-up.

Carlson is a senior committed to Harvard.

Fox and Rooker posted the highest scores in the four divisions for girls and boys, respectively. The top-12 divers overall for girls and boys are eligible to compete in the section’s state qualifying meet at Mt. SAC on Tuesday at 3 p.m.

In swimming league finals:

In the Wave League: Edison swept the boys and girls titles at Golden West College. The Chargers’ boys scored 404 points to outdistance Fountain Valley by almost 100 points. Edison’s girls held off the Barons by about 50 points.

Fountain Valley senior and USC commit Kaitlyn Nguyen impressed by winning the 200-yard individual medley (1:58.59) and 100 breaststroke (1:01.20). Nguyen’s time in the 200 IM moved her to sixth in Orange County history.

Freshman Alyssa Ton of Fountain Valley flashed her potential by winning the 200 free (1:47.49) and 100 fly (55.05)

Edison junior Gaby Kelly won the 500 free in 4:58.40.

Laguna Beach senior Ava Knepper, a water polo standout bound for USC, swept the 50 (23.71) and 100 (51.81) freestyles. She was slightly faster in both events in prelims.

On the boys side, Fountain Valley sophomore Peter Vu blazed to victories in the 200 free (1:37.74) and 100 breast (county-leading 54.99).

Edison senior Jacob Chalabian showed his range by winning the butterfly (50.33) and the 500 free (4:35.32).

In the San Joaquin League: Orangewood Academy’s Haruhi Yamagata, a CIF-SS contender in Division 4, won the 100 breaststroke in 56.44 at Webb.

In the Orange League: Western swept the boys and girls titles at Savanna.
