It’s no state secret that the UConn men’s basketball team is the favorite to win the 2024 national championship, and the Huskies are popular pick with presidents, too.
Former President Barack Obama chose Connecticut to win it all, going with Dan Hurley’s squad over Kentucky in the national title game. He also has top-seeded Purdue and third-seeded Baylor in the Final Four.
My picks are in! I sat down to talk about them with @CraigMalRob and @UKCoachCalipari on their podcast Ways To Win from @HGMedia. Check out our conversation wherever you get your podcasts. And please don’t rub it in when my bracket gets busted. https://t.co/pVLfuHjYmo pic.twitter.com/la2NTDh1z7

Current president Joe Biden also went with UConn, though his bracket was a little more chalky, with the Huskies beating fellow No. 1 seed Houston in the Final and North Carolina and Tennessee also making the national semis.
UConn is the current betting favorite to win it all, with their odds sitting at +370, according to Fox Sports. More than one-third of people who have filled out brackets on Yahoo! and CBS Sports went with UConn, an eye-opening twenty percent more than the next-most popular pick, Purdue, at 12 percent.
The Huskies’ title defense begins Friday at 2:45 pm ET, when they face 16th-seeded Stetson.
