1. Orange Lutheran 10-1: The Lancers won two of three in their Trinity League series against JSerra. Gabe Fraser and Brady Murrietta drove in two runs each in an 8-0 victory. Orange Lutheran is No. 1 in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 rankings.

2. JSerra 5-5-1: The Lions got a much-needed 3-0 victory over Orange Lutheran on Friday with fine relief pitching by Andrew Padova.

3. Santa Margarita 8-3-1: The Eagles won two of three against St. John Bosco in the Trinity League play, including a 5-2 win that featured a grand slam by Trevor Banning. They are 7-1-1 over their past nine games.

4. Huntington Beach 7-4: The offense has dried up for the Oilers, who were shut out twice last week – a 2-0 loss to Marina and a 3-0 loss to Fountain Valley.

5. Mater Dei 7-2: The Monarchs started Trinity League play by winning two of three against Servite. Included was an 8-0 win in which Brandon Thomas and Landon Gordan combined to pitch the shutout.

6. San Juan Hills: The Stallions beat Aliso Niguel twice by 1-0 scores in the Sea View League. They have won nine games in a row, the past five by shutout. Dane Grant and Drew Nelson combined for the shutout in Wednesday’s win.

7. Cypress 6-5-1: In the Empire League the Centurions lost to Tustin 4-3 and beat the Tillers 10-4. Aidan Franco pitched the first four innings without allowing an earned run in the victory.

8. Villa Park 7-5: The Spartans started last week with a 4-2 win over Los Alamitos, then lost 5-0 to El Modena in a Crestview League opener and 2-1 to Hart of Newhall.

9. Servite 6-4: The Friars opened Trinity League play with a 5-1 loss to Mater Dei followed by a 2-1 win over the Monarchs in eight innings and an 8-0 loss.
