South Pasadena volleyball player Helena Foord is the Southern California News Group’s High School Girls Athlete of the Week for Oct. 9-15 after she received 67.86% of the vote at the deadline Thursday.
Newport Harbor’s Maia Helmar (flag football) received 14.29% of the vote to finish in second place. Long Beach Wilson’s Babi Gubbins (volleyball) finished third at 10.71%.
