Queens of the Stone Age has finally announced the West Coast dates of its The End is Nero Tour, which is in support of the band’s eighth album, “In Times New Roman…”

After touring overseas, the group will return to the U.S. for several dates, wrapping up with Viejas Arena in San Diego on Friday, Dec. 15, and they’ll end the tour near its home base at Kia Forum in Inglewood on Saturday, Dec. 16. English rock band Spiritualized will open the shows.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22 at Ticketmaster.com.

Led by vocalist-guitarist Josh Homme, the band’s current lineup includes guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, bassist Michael Shuman, keys and guitar player Dean Fertita and drummer Jon Theodore. “In Times New Roman…” is QOTSA’s first new album since 2017’s “Villains,” and features the singles “Emotion Sickness,” “Carnavoyeur” and “Paper Machete.” The band self-produced the album, which was mixed by Mark Rankin (Iggy Pop, Weezer) and recorded at Homme’s Pink Duck Studios in Burbank and famed producer Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La studio in Malibu.

In between its own albums, members of the band also worked on Iggy Pop’s 2016 album “Post Pop Depression” and served as his live band on tour.
