Olivia Hodges resigned as Dana Hills girls cross country coach Tuesday, said Dana Hills athletic director Tom Faris.
Faris will run the Dolphins girls cross country coach while the school seeks a replacement.
He said the school must make the position available to personnel within the Capistrano Unified School District before opening it up to non-district people.
Dana Hills is No. 1 in the CIF Southern Section Division 3 girls cross country rankings.
