Praise and worship filled the Honda Center in Anaheim during the Harvest Crusade festival, which returned Saturday and Sunday, July 1 and 2. It was the first time the large-scale Evangelical event, typically held at the Angel Stadium, was hosted across the street indoors.

The annual festival brought together thousands for prayer and community. Christian musicians Phil Wickham, Chris Tomlin, Michael W. Smith, Taya and Passion were set to lead the worship.

The Rev. Greg Laurie, pastor of the Harvest Christian Fellowship church, started The Harvest Crusades in 1990. During the pandemic, it was adapted into a streaming event online, as an evangelistic cinematic film.

Over 200,000 attendees went to last year’s festival, held online and in person at Angel Stadium.

Officials decided to move the event to the Honda Center this summer due to abnormal weather conditions, according to a statement.

In a blog post, Laurie shared that the enclosed environment would create a more intimate “service in the round,” immersive worship experience.
