Insomniac Events is going disco and bringing a big ‘ol party to Grand Park in Downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, Nov. 11.
The single-day Disco Trip Festival will be led by Disco Dom (presented by popular EDM artist Dombresky) and feature performances by Evelyn “Champagne” King, Heidi Lawden, Natasha Diggs, Palms Trax, Rolando, a DJ set from SG Lewis and Louie Vega Presents Flashback. The event will also include Galaxy 23 with DJ Harvey and DJ collective Bears in Space performing open to close.
Tickets go on sale at noon on Friday, June 30 at disco.daytripfest.com. General admission passes start at $59.99 and VIP passes start at $199.99. VIP passes include expedited entry, private VIP bathrooms, a VIP viewing area and dedicated VIP bars. Insomniac is also offering ticket layaway options with a $10 deposit. This show is for those 21-and-older only.
Disco Trip is an offshoot of Insomniac’s Day Trip Festival, which took place at The Queen Mary Waterfront in Long Beach last weekend. Day Trip was the Burbank-based electronic music company’s first event since the shootings at the Beyond Wonderland Festival at Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington state on June 17, where a gunman killed two former Southern California residents and injured several other attendees in a camping area near the festival grounds.
Those who attended Day Trip expressed some concerns about security following the tragedy, but still turned up to the sold-out, two-day event to party on June 24-25.
