Six Flags Magic Mountain remained closed for the second day in a row amid a threat of high winds, heavy thunderstorms and flash floods as the latest in a series of “atmospheric river” storms passes through Southern California.

Magic Mountain was closed on Wednesday, March 22 due to inclement weather, according to the Valencia amusement park’s official Twitter account. Tickets purchased for Wednesday are good for the rest of the year.

Magic Mountain and the surrounding area saw more than an inch of rain on Tuesday, March 21, according to the National Weather Service. Heavy thunderstorms are possible for Wednesday with a flood watch issued through 5 p.m.

The Magic Mountain Truck Trail — often the windiest spot in the Los Angeles area — was blasted by 102 mph winds early Wednesday morning equal to a Category 2 hurricane, according to Dateline.
