Onyx’s story: Onyx, found as a stray, has been at OC Animal Care since May. He’s very good at making human friends and loves to go on walks. Onyx enjoys the outdoors, especially when there’s room to run and play with toys. After playing, Onyx would make a great couch buddy for a movie marathon. Onyx does take a little while to warm up, but once he does, this sweet boy is the picture-perfect doggie best friend. Due to his energetic personality, Onyx would do best in an adult-only home or with kids ages 15 years or older.
Adoption fee: Adoption fees are waived during January for all dogs weighing 25 pounds or more. Included in the fee are microchipping, vaccinations, spaying or neutering and an anti-parasite treatment. Not included are license fees or adoptions of puppies 6 months or younger.
Adoption procedure: Call OC Animal Care at 714-935-6848 to schedule an adoption appointment to meet Onyx or any of the other animals that can be found on the shelter’s website. While appointments are available for convenience, walk-ins are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis, at the shelter, located at 1630 Victory Road, Tustin.
