German shepherds Cody and Cheyenne: From scared on the streets to loving life

Rent Computer Hardware You Need, When You Need It

Gender: Neutered males

Size: Cody is 102 pounds; Cheyenne is 76 pounds

Cody and Cheyenne’s story: Sometimes it’s hard to tell a dog’s (or dogs’) story and create all of the feelings and emotions surrounding it. The tale of Cody and Cheyenne, is that kind of story! What we know is that they survived for a year on their own in a rural area near San Bernardino.  They persevered among coyotes, cars and two railroad track crossings near the field where they lived. After being rescued, they were understandably shell-shocked to have regular meals, human touch and a warm place to put their heads. Now that they know love, they have learned that people are kind and that they don’t need to live in fear. They have blossomed into wonderful, balanced dogs who have such a joy for life!

Cody and Cheyenne can be adopted together or individually to the right homes. While the rescue would love for them to stay together, group members know how difficult it is to find that kind of home, and want the two boys to be able to experience a home of their own as soon as they can after all they have endured.

Adoption fee: $375 per dog. If the right home is found for Cody and Cheyenne together, the rescue has a donor who will pay for one of the dog’s adoption fees. Fees include spaying and neutering, microchips and vaccines.

Adoption procedure: These wonderful dogs are available for adoption through Coastal German Shepherd Rescue. An adoption application can be found here. Or you can call 714-528-4730 for more information.
