Christmas this year will take on new meaning accompanied with a special request for one cancer patient – to donate to a Leonard Cancer Institute patient fund.

Emily Murphy Antenore was diagnosed with stage four colorectal cancer in March, 2022.

After12 rounds of chemotherapy at the Leonard Cancer Institute in Mission Viejo, radiation, colon surgery and liver surgery she has arrived at “no evidence of disease”.

Grateful with the care she received and through a partnership with the Providence Mission Hospital Foundation Emily has raised $10,000 to help other cancer patients with any type of financial help they need during their treatment.

She wanted to help relieve some of the financial stress for other patients that accompanies such a diagnosis.

“Cancer treatment, among many other things, can be expensive, and financial stress is the last thing that patients should have to worry about when faced with a difficult diagnosis,” she said.
