Magic Mountain’s Oktoberfest pays tribute to the folk festival in Munich, Germany that began in 1810 with beer gardens, traditional foods, live music and other attractions.
The Six Flags festival will feature German-inspired cuisine, Oktoberfest music and themed games along with all of the park’s amusement rides.
The German-inspired menu will feature bratwurst and hot dogs with spicy mustard, onions and sauerkraut, Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese, Kartoffelkase cheese potatoes, gouda mac and cheese, German potato salad and sauerkraut fries. Apple strudel, German chocolate cake and Black Forest cake will be available for dessert.
The lineup of seasonal beers includes Doppelbock Dunkel, Schwarzbier Helles and Sam Adams Oktoberfest. The Randler beer cocktail combines Helles with Sprite. Among the non-alcoholic beverages: Spezi-style orange cola and Apfelsaftchorle apple spritzer.

A DJ will spin Oktoberfest music while games with prizes will be offered around the Ace O’ Clubs restaurant near Riddler’s Revenge.
Oktoberfest entrees, snacks and drinks can be purchased a la carte at Ace O’ Clubs or as part of the $30 Taste of Oktoberfest VIP Package that includes two menu items and a drink in a limited-edition festival stein.
Oktoberfest is included with admission to the park with a single-day ticket or an annual pass. Food and drinks are sold separately with no discounts.
Magic Mountain is rolling out a line-up of new seasonal offerings as Six Flags parks struggle to attract visitors during the typically busy summer season.
Six Flags amusement parks saw attendance decline 22% and income decrease 36% during the second quarter of 2022 that ran through the Fourth of July weekend. The drops defy industry trends that saw Six Flags’ rivals boast higher numbers compared to the same period in 2021 when many theme parks were just beginning to emerge from pandemic lockdowns and still operating under COVID-19 attendance capacity restrictions.
