The Orange County Sheriff’s Department partnered with Rancho Santa Margarita leaders over the weekend to host the city’s first-ever Bike Rodeo.

While residents were entertained by a BMX performance and music, Sunday’s event in the Bell Tower Regional Community Center parking lot also shared important tips for safe bike riding.

The rodeo featured an obstacle course for practicing riding skills and learning the rules of the road, and free bike inspections were offered.

The Sheriff’s Department also offers bike safety videos on its website.
