
Mission Viejo senior quarterback Kadin Semonza threw for a touchdown and ran for another Friday in the Diablos’ 34-21 win over Mililani.
The game was played at Mililani Town on the island of Oahu. It was the season opener for Mission Viejo, the No. 2 team in the Orange County preseason top 25. Mililani is 1-1.
The Diablos took a 7-0 lead on a 13-yard touchdown pass from Semonza to Jackson Holman. Semonza rushed for a 3-yard touchdown to make it 14-0.
Isaiah Carreon and Chase Valousky also scored rushing touchdowns for Mission Viejo.
The Diaglos had a 20-7 lead at halftime.
Mission Viejo’s next game is a home game Aug. 26 against No. 7 Servite.
