Headed to the OC Fair this week? Here are some things to know.
General information:
Hours are 11 a.m. to midnight through Sunday; the fair is closed Mondays and Tuesdays and open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays
General admission is $14 today through Sunday and $12 on Wednesdays and Thursdays; tickets are $7 every day for children 6-12 and seniors 60 and older.
Tickets must be purchased ahead online at ocfair.com. Daily attendance is capped at 45,000 people and may sell out on popular days.
Parking is $10
Use Gate 1 on Fair Drive, which is the main gate, for Uber/Lyft/taxi drop-off and pickup
Things to do:
Teens from around the region have been raising livestock in 4-H and FFA programs, watch at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, as all their hard work pays off with the annual Junior Livestock Auction.
Learn more about the “Wine Regions of California” at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, with a special seminar led by the Orange County Wine Society. Seminars on various wine topics are planned each weekend; tickets are $25.
Enjoy the All-Alaskan Racing Pigs at various times in the Plaza Pacifica starting at 2 p.m. Wednesdays-Fridays and 12:20 p.m. weekends. Seating is first come.
Chef Vina will be holding a free demonstration on making mango salsa at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 22, in the OC Promende; there are demonstrations daily, throughout the fair.
Been known to eat your way through a bag of Gold Fish crackers? Enter the eating contest at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, in the OC Promenade.
Catch live, free entertainment throughout the day at the Plaza Stage, Meadows Stage and OC Promenade Stage.
Kids can explore, learn, have fun and take a break from the sun in the Explorium.

July 23: Which One’s Pink? A tribute to the music of Pink Floyd, at 8:15 p.m.
July 24: LA Sound Machine, a Gloria Estefan and Maimi Sound Machine tribute, at 8 p.m.
Playing at the Pacific Amphitheatre (requires a ticket purchased in advance, but includes fair admission):
July 20: Skid Row, Warrant, Quiet Riot, Kip Winger Unplugged, at 6 p.m.
July 21: Lindsey Stirling, MAKO, at 7:30 p.m.
July 22: Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, at 8:15 p.m.
July 23: ABBA LA/Bee Gees Gold, at 7:30 p.m.
July 24: Island Empire Festival, at 2 p.m.
In the Action Sports Arena (reserved seating available, the ticket includes fair admission, also some limited access first come):
