Rent Computer Hardware You Need, When You Need It

Friends of Canyon Hills Library recently awarded monetary scholarships to five outstanding Canyon High School graduates for volunteer service at Canyon Hills Library and Canyon High School Library.

Katie Phan, who was instrumental in creating storytelling videos on the library’s YouTube channel during the pandemic closure, will attend UC Davis, majoring in computer science and engineering.

Sidney Muntean also provided an invaluable service for students during the pandemic by developing a virtual writing workshop. She will attend UCLA and plans to study business economics.

Siraj Bajwa served as the Young Adult Council’s president during his senior academic year and was responsible for planning several library programs for the community. He will attend UC Irvine with a double major in literary journalism and political science with a minor in creative writing.

Megan and Lauren Nishitani have expended hundreds of hours volunteering with the Canyon High School Library circulation desk, distributing textbooks during school registration as well as training a new library assistant. The sisters also tutored peers in the library.  Both will attend UC Irvine.

Congratulations to these talented, hard-working and dedicated volunteers on their accomplishments and for their contributions to the community.
