Ashlynn Viramontes, Katella: The Cal State Fullerton-bound Viramontes placed fourth in the 800 meters at the CIF State Track and Field Championships in Clovis by finishing in 2 minutes, 12.58 seconds. The CIF-SS Division 1 champion challenged her season-best time of 2:11.33 from the CIF-SS Masters Meet.

Eve Divinity, Redondo: Divinity competed in three events at the CIF State Track and Field Championships and came home with three medals. She was fourth in the 100 meters (11.74 seconds) and 200 (24.03), and she was sixth in the long jump (19 feet, 3 inches).

Mackenize Browne, North: Browne made a strong push and held on to capture the title in the girls 800 meters at the CIF State Championship meet in Clovis. Browne came into the state finals ranked sixth in the state in the 800, but she outran a field that included Ventura’s Sadie Engelhart and Chino’s Mia Chavez. Browne ran a personal-best time of 2 minutes, 8.66 seconds, the No. 3 mark in Riverside County history and the No. 5 mark in the state this season. Browne also became the first Inland athlete to win a state title in the girls 800 meters.

Aujane Luckey, Wilson: Luckey finished second in the 400 meters with a time of 54.90 seconds and finished third in the 200 in 23.97 at the CIF State Track and Field Championships on Saturday. The junior sprinter also ran the first leg on Wilson’s 4×400 relay, which finished second in a time of 3:47.92. Overall, Luckey helped Wilson score 22 of the school’s 28 points, which placed the Bruins third in the state team title rankings
