Rock band Foo Fighters have announced two special tribute shows to honor its late drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Hawkins, a Laguna Beach native, was 50 years old when he died suddenly on March 25 while the band had been in Bogotá, Colombia preparing to perform at Festival Estereo Picnic. Shortly after, the band announced it would cancel all of its tour dates.

Now, vocalist-guitarist Dave Grohl, bassist Nate Mendel, guitarists Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear and keys player Rami Jaffee have announced that they will come together to celebrate the life and music of Hawkins with concerts at Wembley Stadium in London on Sept. 3 and the Kia Forum in Inglewood on Sept. 27. These concerts are slated to unite several of the Foo Fighters’ peers as they perform songs that Hawkins both fell in love with early on in his career and the ones he helped bring to life.

According to a press release issued on Wednesday morning, the show lineups will be announced shortly and fans can sign up now for ticket on sale information at foofighters.com.
