California voters are choosing who should hold all 52 of the state’s seats in the House of Representatives.
Each district has between two and nine candidates running in the Tuesday, June 7, primary election. The top two finishers in each race will go on to the general election in November.
Nationally, the Republican Party is hoping to retake control of the house in this election cycle. So even though California’s house delegation is overwhelmingly Democratic — it currently has 42 Democrats and 10 Republicans — if even a couple of competitive seats flip one way or the other, that could have big repercussions.
