Home runs by Kyle Kim and Conor Sunderland and a three-run double by Nate Norman led Fullerton’s baseball team to a 10-6 win over Burroughs of Burbank in a Division V semifinal in the CIF SoCal Regional playoffs Thursday at Fullerton High.
Sunderland hit a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning and Kim hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning to break up a 2-2 tie.
Fullerton had a 7-6 lead in the sixth when Norman hit a three-run double to deep fly to center that missed clearing the outfield fence by a foot.
Matthew Carbajal pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to get the win.
Fullerton (26-9) plays in the Division V final Saturday against the winner of Friday’s Moreno Valley-Tesoro semifinal. Fullerton is the home team Saturday if Moreno Valley wins. Tesoro, which defeated Fullerton in the CIF-SS Division 4 championship game two weeks ago, is the home team for the final if it wins.
In the Division III semifinals
Newport Harbor 8, Eastlake of Chula Vista 2: Sam DiCarlo pitched a complete game and freshman Elijah Hasted was 3 for 3 for the Sailors in their road win.
The Sailors (21-12) will play at Oaks Christian (23-11) in the final Saturday.
Newport Harbor lost to Oaks Christian 3-2 in the CIF-SS Division 3 semifinals May 17.
Lucas Perez and Joey Wright had two hits apiece for the Sailors. AJ Guitron-Moore drove in two runs, one on a safety squeeze, for Newport Harbor.
In the Division V semifinals
Estancia 4, Kennedy of Delano 3: Jack Moyer’s fourth-inning double drove in Andrew Mits with what would be the winning run for the Eagles.
Estancia (30-5) will play at home Saturday against the winner of Friday’s Baldwin Park-Anaheim semifinal.
Estancia trailed 3-0 going into its half of the third inning. James De La O’s single in the third drove in the first Eagles run and an error on the play allowed a second run to score. Cole Lefebvre’s single sent home the tying run.

Estancia has won 12 straight games. Estancia defeated Anaheim in the CIF-SS Division 6 final two weeks ago. Estancia is 19-1 at home this season.
