The season of pomp and circumstance has begun.

Vanguard University held Orange County’s first commencement of the year, celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2022, as well as Class of 2020 graduates who weren’t able to walk at the time because of social distancing requirements.

Two ceremonies were held Thursday, May 5, at Mariners Church, first for the undergraduate members of the 2022 class and later for those finishing professional and graduate programs and more than 120 members of the 2020 class who returned to celebrate.

More than 580 members of the Class of 2022 participated in the ceremony celebrating their graduation from the more than 100-year old university in Costa Mesa.
