The CIF Southern Section baseball playoffs resume Tuesday and there is a distinct Orange County flavor in Division 1.
Ten of the 16 teams that made it to the second round of the Division 1 playoffs are county teams: Capistrano Valley, Cypress, El Dorado, Foothill, Huntington Beach, JSerra, Orange Lutheran, Santa Margarita, Servite and Villa Park.
Tuesday’s second-round matchups in Division 1 include Santa Margarita at Foothill, Servite at Cypress and Capistrano Valley at Cypress. Other Division 1 games Tuesday include Bonita at Orange Lutheran, Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks at El Dorado High, Bishop Amat at Huntington Beach and Villa Park at San Dimas.
Pacifica plays at third-seeded Sierra Canyon in a Division 2 second-round game Tuesday.
Santiago plays its third playoff game six days Tuesday when it plays at home against Lennox Academy in the second round. Santiago won a wild-card game Wednesday before beating Calvary Chapel of Downey 9-0 in the first round Friday.
Los Amigos won a baseball playoff game for the first time Friday when the Division 7 top-seeded Lobos defeated Leuzinger 17-3. The Lobos won the Garden Grove League championship this season, the first baseball league title in the history of the school that opened in 1968.
All games Tuesday start at 3:15 p.m. unless the two teams agree to a time change and the time change is approved by the CIF Southern Section office.
Orange Lutheran home games usually are evening games at Hart Park in Orange. The Bonita-Orange Lutheran game is at Hart Park on Tuesday, but it will be a 3:15 p.m. game.
Woodbridge will play its Division 3 second-round game Tuesday at its usual home location, Ryan Lemmon Stadium at Windrow Park in Irvine, against La Sierra at 3:15 p.m.
