Will Burns, Trabuco Hills, Jr., SS: He homered twice for the Mustangs in their 13-10 loss to Santa Margarita in a CIF Southern Section Division 1 first-round playoff game. Burns also is the Trabuco Hills football quarterback.
Juan Gutierrez, Los Amigos, So., Inf.: He hit a double, walked twice and drove in three runs in the Lobos’ 17-3 victory over Leuzinger in the CIF Southern Section Division 7 first round, the first baseball playoff win in school history.
Riley Kelly, Tustin, Sr., P: Kelly struck out 17 over six innings in the Tillers’ 1-0 win over Oxford Academy in a Division 5 first-round victory.
Luke Lavin, Santa Margarita, Jr., 1B: Lavin, who committed to Stanford, was 4 for four with four RBIs, four runs scored and a walk in the Eagles’ 13-10 win over Trabuco Hills in a CIF Southern Section Division 1 first-round playoff game.
Isaiah Lievanos, Orange, Jr., P: He pitched a one-hitter for the Panthers in their 6-0 win over Loara in a CIF-SS Division 5 first-round win. He struck out seven and walked only one.
