The community cheered and lined the streets of Old Towne when Orange’s May Parade was resurrected in 2019 after nearly 30 years.
Then the pandemic canceled it again, and again. But now the Orange Chamber of Commerce has kept to its promise of keeping the one-time tradition alive. The parade was first held in 1933.
On Saturday, the parade kicked off at Chapman Avenue and Shaffer Street, with local marching bands, vintage cars, community groups and more snaking through the downtown.
