A man was found dead in an Anaheim home and another arrested on suspicion of the victim’s killing Tuesday night, May 3, authorities said.

Officers responded to the 500 block of North Philadelphia Street, near East Sycamore Street, about 6:30 p.m. after receiving a call that a person was at a home in violation of a court order, Anaheim Sgt. Shane Carringer said.

Arriving officers found a man outside of the home, Carringer said. He tried to run inside but officers caught and detained him.

When officers searched the home, they found a man dead, Carringer said.

The suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment of a medical issue, but he will be arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of murder, the sergeant said.

How the victim died, or how the two men were related, was not specified by police.

The identity of the victim was not publicly released by police pending notification of his relatives. The suspect had yet to be identified by police because he had not yet been booked.

What the apparent court order concerned, and who it named, was unclear.
