A fistfight briefly disrupted the crowd waiting for the return of Disneyland’s Fantasmic! on Saturday night, May 28, as brawlers were pulled apart by Disneyland security guards

The return of the Fantasmic! nighttime spectacular after more than two years had been eagerly awaited by fans, and people lined along the banks of the Rivers of America to see it, near Pirates of the Caribbean. In a viral video, Disneyland security can be seen breaking up the fight, while onlookers scattered to get out of the way. Fantasmic! has been performed more than 11,000 times over the years.

Disneyland issued a statement saying that “We do not condone this type of reprehensible behavior. Disneyland Resort security intervened swiftly, deescalated the situation and removed the guests from the park.” No one was injured.

An Anaheim police spokesman said no one was arrested and the event was handled by Disneyland security.

Fights are rare, but they happen. The advent of camera phones have made them more visible. A  Disneyland fight among family members in July 2019 led to arrests and one Las Vegas man was sentenced to six months in jail in February 2020 after pleading guilty to corporal injury.
