The Blue Bayou restaurant in Disneyland’s New Orleans Square will begin a soft reopening on Saturday, May 28 before fully reopening in June, according to Disney officials.
The restaurant closed for refurbishment on April 21. It will reopen for dinner only starting Saturday before fully reopening June 8. The Blue Bayou will resume accepting reservations when it returns to full operations.
The popular restaurant serves cajun-creole cuisine such as jambalaya and gumbo in an ambiance of twilight on the bayou, with croaking frogs and fireflies. The Blue Bayou began serving alcohol in May 2021, when it reopened about a month after the park did following a 412-day closure prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Blue Bayou adjoins the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, which closed for renovation on March 14 and will remain closed through June 30, according to Disneyland’s website.
