Baseball playoffs: Anaheim, Estancia win their semifinals, will meet in Div. 6 final

Estancia’s Trevor Scott walked with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Eagles a 1-0 win over Santa Ynez in a CIF Southern Section Division 6 baseball semifinal at Estancia High.

The Eagles (27-5) will play Anaheim (21-9-1) in the championship game Friday or Saturday at Cal State Fullerton. Championship game specifics will be announced Wednesday.

Blake Peck led off the Estancia 10th with a walk. John Uchityl walked and Andrew Mits bunted for an infield single to load the bases with no outs. Coyotzi walked on a 3-2 pitch.

Scott pitched seven innings for the Eagles. He allowed six hits and struck out four. Mits pitched the final three innings in which he gave up two hits.

Also in Division 6:

Anaheim 4, Bellflower 1: Aaron Rojas pitched a complete game for the Colonists as they won their semifinal at home.

Rojas allowed five hits and one walk with two strikeouts. The Colonists scored two runs on squeeze bunts.

Anaheim coach Mike Barrera said the Colonists supported Rojas with exceptional defense, including stellar plays by third baseman Jesus Mejia and first baseman Jillian Albayati.

Albayati is scheduled to be Anaheim’s starting pitcher against Estancia in the Division 6 final. She is 11-0 with a 1.68 ERA.

Hueneme 8, Santiago 4: The Cavaliers (15-12) had their season come to an end in the semifinals.

Santiago had won four straight playoff games, winning in the wild card round, the first round, the second round and the quarterfinals.

Hueneme (17-9) will play Baldwin Park (19-11) in the championship game.
