Q: We have been here before. Sit Kyle Lowry and start Gabe Vincent. I’d rather have Gabe at 100 percent than Kyle at 50 percent. It’s hurting the team. We play excellently with adversity. – Pipsy.

A: And, that, in turn could get Duncan Robinson back into the rotation, with Victor Oladipo taking Gabe Vincent’s role as the backup point guard. No one is doubting Kyle Lowry as the superior option at point guard. But the Kyle Lowry we’re seeing now is nowhere near the Kyle Lowry capable of leading a team on a deep playoff run. Based on Kyle’s comments after Game 4, it’s as if he knew as much, as well. Another option would be starting Vic, but then spacing becomes an issue, as well as the overlap of the games of Oladipo and Jimmy Butler. And at this stage, the last thing you want to do is compromise anything regarding Jimmy.

Q: Stop switching Bam Adebayo onto the perimeter. He’s the only one who gives the Heat a chance against Joe Embiid. – Art.

A: Agree. But the problem in playing defensively one way all season and then changing it up so dramatically is that teammates instinctively might still play as if a switch is coming, leaving open 76ers’ shooters even more open. It’s almost as if the Heat didn’t see Joel Embiid as a playoff possibility. Unless Bam stays home on Embiid, the lob to the post seemingly will consistently be there against a team that is small to start with. Yes, Joel Embiid has changed everything. Just as the Heat should have anticipated.

Q: For the Heat to get where they want to go, which is to win a ‘chip, Bam Adebayo has to be a 16-10-5 guy every night. Reality is if the Heat get past the 76ers, Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis are waiting, or Boston’s Jayson Tatum, Al Horford and Robert Williams. So it’s not only the 76ers, but moving forward. The pressure is real. –- Douglas.

A: And yet, you know both Bam Adebayo and Erik Spoelstra will tell you it’s about more than numbers, including the defensive impact and the ability to disrupt on that end. And they’re correct. I believe we’ve reached a point where we need to stop projecting points with Bam. That simply is not the focus or purpose of his approach. But I do agree about the rebounding. The Heat are too small otherwise to succeed if Bam is not getting his fair share of rebounds.
