Servite, Capistrano Valley Christian and Saddleback were seeded No. 1 in their divisions for the CIF Southern Section boys volleyball playoffs.
Servite is top seeded in Division 2, Capistrano Valley Christian is No. 1 in Division 4 and Saddleback is No. 1 in Division 6.
Servite (19-9) finished second in the Trinity League, behind Mater Dei.
Capistrano Valley Christian (20-7), which won the Division 6 title last season, won the San Joaquin League title this season with a 7-1 mark.
Saddleback (20-3) was the runner-up in the Orange Coast League, which was won by Calvary Chapel.
Division 1 has 10 teams in its bracket, and six of the teams are from Orange County: Beckman, Corona del Mar, Huntington Beach, Los Alamitos, Mater Dei and Newport Harbor.
Loyola is the No. 1 seed, Mater Dei is No. 2, Newport Harbor No. 3 and Beckman No. 4.
In the first round, Corona del Mar will play at Mira Costa on Thursday. Mira Costa won the Division 1 title in 2021, defeating Newport Harbor in the final.
Beckman, Huntington Beach, Los Alamitos, Mater Dei and Newport Harbor have first-round byes and will begin the playoffs with quarterfinal matches May 3. In the quarterfinals, Huntington Beach will be at Beckman and Newport Harbor will host Los Alamitos.
The CIF-SS boys volleyball playoffs begin Tuesday with wild-card round matches in Divisions 3, 4, 5 and 6.
First-round matches in all divisions are Thursday. In Divisions 2-6 the second round is Saturday, April 30, the quarterfinals are May 4, semifinals are May 7 and finals are May 14.
In Division 1, quarterfinals are May 3, semifinals May 7 and the final are on May 14.
All playoff matches, including the finals, are at designated host sites. That means the finals can be played at the home team’s gym.
