The Orange County Soccer Club had a strong debut in the U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday.
OCSC scored three goals in the first half against LA Force of the National Independent Soccer Association on the way to a 5-2 second-round win at Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine.
OCSC will find out its third-round opponent Friday during the live draw at 9 a.m.
Daniel Pedersen opened the scoring in the 24th minute and Milan Iloski (31st) and Ugo Okoli (33rd) followed, helping OCSC take a 3-1 lead into halftime.
Mikko Kuningas (53rd) and 17-year-old Kobi Henry (69th) capped the scoring for OCSC. For Henry, it was his second professional goal.
Samuel Goni (37th) and Clayton Torr (90th) scored for LA Force.
Orange County returns to USL Championship play Saturday at home against San Antonio FC (7 p.m.).
