Noteworthy: Overn, the center fielder for the Knights baseball team, went 2 for 4 and had a triple in the bottom of the seventh inning that drove in the tying run and he scored the winning run in a 2-1 win over El Dorado. Three days later, at the Trabuco Invitational track meet, Overn set personal bests in the 100 meters and long jump. His time of 10.49 seconds in the 100 is second-best in Orange County this season, behind Servite’s Max Thomas, who won the Trabuco Invitational in 10.40 seconds. Overn won the long jump with a mark of 23 feet, 1 inch, the second-best mark in the county this season. Overn has a baseball scholarship to USC.
