Ivan Barragan, Northview: The senior catcher played a big role in Northview’s two-game sweep San Dimas last week, which ended the Saints’ 26-game league winning streak. In the Vikings’ 7-1 win at home, Barragan went 3 for 4 with two runs scored and an RBI. In their come-from-behind 6-4 win at San Dimas, Barragan had the eventual game-winning RBI.

Jacob Reimer, Yucaipa: Reimer, a senior shortstop who has signed with Washington, went 4 for 4 with a career-high three home runs and six runs batted in as the Thunderbirds defeated Redlands East Valley 15-6 in a Citrus Belt League game. Reimer belted a three-run home run in the first inning, a solo shot in the second and a two-run blast in the fifth. Reimer is batting .400 with five home runs and 19 RBIs in 13 games this season. Yucaipa has won seven straight games and is ranked No. 3 in the state by Calhisports.com.

Nigel Buckley, Serra: The junior catcher continued his hot hitting during a four-game stretch last week. He went 10 for 14 (.714) with six runs scored, five RBIs and a home run as the Cavaliers went 3-1, including a pair of Del Rey League wins.

Max Thomas, Servite: He set the meet record in the 100 meters at the Orange County Championships with a time of 10.41 seconds. It was a wind-aided time that beat the previous all-conditions meet record of 10.48. Thomas, who signed with USC, also won the 200 with a time of 21.80. He was named boys sprint MVP of the meet. Thomas’ wind-legal time of 10.55 in the 100 is the best time in California this season.

Anthony Eyanson, Lakewood: Eyanson pitched a complete-game shutout in a 2-0 win against Long Beach Poly on March 23. The 6-foot-2 pitcher, who signed to play DI college baseball at UC San Diego, gave up three hits against Poly. Eyanson also scored the game-winning run with heads-up base running in the fourth inning.
