Two male juveniles were struck by gunfire Wednesday evening near the intersection of West Kent Avenue and Newhope Street in Santa Ana, officials said.
Police responded to the call just after 7 p.m. and the two victims were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Watch Commander Oropeza of the Santa Ana Police Department.
No suspect description was available and police had not taken anyone into custody late Wednesday night. Information on the circumstances of the shooting and if there were any additional victims was not immediately available.
The investigation was ongoing.
