Xavier Cardenas, Servite, Sr., P: Cardenas allowed only one hit with nine strikeouts over 5.1 innings in the Friars’ 7-2 win over Santa Margarita, the first of their wins in a three-game sweep in their Trinity League series.
Jackson Freeman, Tesoro, Jr., OF/P: He was 4 for 4 with four RBIs in an Anaheim Lions Tournament win over McQueen of New York and 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI in a win over West Linn of Oregon. During the Titans’ five wins in the Anaheim Lions Tournament he was 12 for 19 with two doubles, a home run, seven RBIs and nine runs scored.
Ben Jacobs, Huntington Beach, Sr., P: Jacobs, a lefty who signed with UCLA, struck out nine over 5.2 innings of pitching in the Oilers’ 4-2 win over Fountain Valley. He is 4-1 this season.
Garvey Rumary, El Dorado, Jr., P: He allowed only two hits over six innings in a 4-1 win over Canyon and drove in the winning run in a win over Cypress in a battle of Orange County top 10 teams. Rumary, who throws left, signed with San Diego State.
Conor Sunderland, Fullerton, Jr., OF: Sunderland homered and drove in four runs in a 9-3 win over Damonte Rancho of Reno in the Anaheim Lions Tournament and hit another home run in a 5-4 tournament win over El Rancho.
