The Chargers have parted ways with their prize free-agent acquisition from 2020.
Right tackle Bryan Bulaga was released by the Chargers, the team announced Tuesday.
Bulaga, who signed a three-year, $30 million contract two years ago, only played 11 games with the Chargers. He missed the final 16 games of last season because of multiple injuries.
The Chargers saved $10.75 million in cap space by releasing Bulaga, according to OvertheCap.com. The Chargers used most of their cap space by re-signing Mike Williams, trading for Khalil Mack and adding cornerback J.C. Jackson and defensive tackles Sebastian Joseph-Day and Austin Johnson in free agency.
The Chargers now have money to spend to address their needs on offense and special teams after cutting Bulaga.
More to come on this report soon.
