Hanna won three matches by fall and two by decision, including a 6-2 win in the finals against Palm Desert’s Erik McCown. Hanna will be competing in the CIF-SS Masters Meet, starting Friday.

Jeff Silva, Grand Terrace: Silva, a 6-foot guard, posted career highs of 25 points and 13 rebounds as the Titans took down top-seeded Arrowhead Christian 65-63 in the first round of the CIF Southern Section’s Division 4A playoffs. It marked the program’s first playoff win in six seasons. Silva scored 16 pf his points in the first half, helping Grand Terrace take a 47-26 lead at the break. He also finished the game with a season-high four 3-pointers.

Jaayden Bush, St. Anthony: The senior point guard had a clutch performance against Dominguez in his team’s 60-57 win in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs on Friday, Feb. 11. Bush had 21 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 steals and 1 block against the Dons. Bush’s clutch free throws and game-clinching steal and layup in the final seconds secured the victory.

Gavin Murphy, Calabasas: Murphy scored 44 points in a 62-50 win over Oak Park. His effort included six 3-pointers and 12 made free throws out of 13 attempts. He scored 18 points in a blowout win over Faith Baptist and led his team with 17 points in a loss to Loyola. The Coyotes are 8-3 this season.

TJ McDonnell, Fountain Valley: McDonnell continued his outstanding season in the CIF-SS Individual Championships by winning the Central Division title at 182 pounds.
