The driver of a white SUV is being sought by authorities after fatally striking a motorcyclist on the 5 Freeway in Laguna Hills and fleeing the scene, the California Highway Patrol said Monday, Feb. 14.
The crash happened Thursday, Feb. 10, at 7:38 a.m. southbound on the freeway, north of La Paz Road, the CHP said. A motorcycle driven by a 31-year-old man was struck by the SUV and the SUV fled the scene without stopping, the CHP said.
No identifying information was immediately available for the motorcyclist.
The SUV is believed to have crash damage to its right side, authorities said. The driver is being sought on suspicion of vehicular homicide, the CHP said.
