After a season that ended on a down note, Ravens ticket prices are going up in 2022.

In a letter sent to season-ticket holders, the team announced that it is raising ticket prices for the second time in three years. The average ticket price increase is 9%, according to the Ravens, with the rate bump depending on the section.

Parking costs will not increase in 2022, and the Ravens said they’re “committed” to keeping ticket prices the same in 2023, when the team will again have a ninth home game.

“As we set our sights on the future — and strive to continue producing league-leading results in everything we do — it’s vital that we remain competitive with other NFL teams,” senior vice president of ticket sales and operations Baker Koppelman wrote in the letter, which was reviewed by The Baltimore Sun.

“Revenue generated through your valued investment allows us to sign and retain players who will help the Ravens contend at the highest level, and it provides the kind of stadium experience you deserve and expect. We are committed to ongoing enhancements to your gameday experience, which over the next several years will include a long-term capital improvement plan for M&T Bank Stadium to keep it vibrant well into the future.”

The Ravens have started discussions with the state on a new stadium lease, now-former team president Dick Cass told The Baltimore Sun last month. The team is considering upgrades to M&T Bank Stadium such as additional lower-bowl premium seating and easier access to the developing Warner Street corridor. In 2019, the Ravens completed a $120 million, self-funded renovation project of the stadium.

Despite missing the playoffs for the first time since 2017, the Ravens finished ninth in average home attendance (70,537) and eighth in average home capacity (99.7%) last season. According to Statista, the team had the 13th-most expensive average ticket price in the NFL ($110.53).

The Ravens’ 2021 home schedule has games against the Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos. Dates and times will be released this spring.
