Students at Cal State University Long Beach received an alert Tuesday evening that in-person evening classes were cancelled and the campus was closed due to a campus-wide power outage, school officials said.
Those on campus were asked to leave and others were told to stay away. Students living on campus were told to stand by for further directions.
The cause of the outage was unknown, but classes are expected to resume as normal Wednesday, said Gregory Woods, a spokesperson for the university.
