San Juan Capistrano is getting in the mood for its annual celebration of the return of the swallows.
The San Juan Capistrano Fiesta Association has been hosting its usual series of community events running up to the big Swallows Day Parade and festival, scheduled for March 12 this year.
Already held was the Taste of San Juan, and on Saturday, Feb. 19, the youngest residents go in on the fun with the always popular Kids’s Pet Parade, where awards such as best team costume (human and pet together), best household pet and best barnyard pet were decided.
Coming up will be the El Presidenté Ball on March 5, Hoos’Gow Day on March 11 and other favorite activities. Get more information on what’s planned here.
