The final Orange County high school girls basketball rankings for 2021-22.

GIRLS BASKETBALL TOP 25

(Records through Sunday, Feb. 27)

1. Mater Dei (23-5): Monarchs drew the surprisingly-low No. 7 seed for the SoCal Open regionals and a trip to play No. 2 La Jolla Country Day and point guard Jada Williams on Wednesday night.

2. Rosary (16-9): Point guard Kaylee Byon (back) is day-to-day and “won’t be 100 percent” if she plays Thursday in Division I regionals for the top-seeded Royals, Coach Richard Yoon said.

3. Orangewood Academy (21-9): Spartans earned the No. 2 seed in the Division I regionals and a home game Tuesday against Mount Miguel, a San Diego Section Open team.

4. Santa Margarita (17-7): Eagles received the No. 4 seed for the Division II regionals and a home game Tuesday against The Bishop’s of La Jolla, another Open team from San Diego.

5. Orange Lutheran (24-8): Division 2AA champion Lancers play host to guard-oriented Brentwood in a Trinity League vs. Gold Coast pairing in the first round of the Division II regionals Tuesday.

6. Sage Hill (23-10): Lightning will look to rebound from loss in Division 2AA final by playing host to Nipomo, an Open team from the Central Section.

7. Fairmont Prep (18-13): Defensive-minded Huskies will graduate their top-two leading scorers in Andrea Javier (10.2 ppg) and Maddie Salud (6.8 ppg).

8. Pacifica Christian (25-5): Division 4A champion Tritons claimed the No. 7 seed in the Division II regionals and a home game against Santa Monica on Tuesday.

9. Crean Lutheran (22-4): The Saints, seeded eighth in Division II, play host on Tuesday to No. 9 and battled-tested Bonita Vista, an Open team from the San Diego Section.

10. JSerra (10-12): Lions’ lone victory in the Trinity League came in their opener against No. 4 Santa Margarita.
