A winter storm brought snow, rain, and chill that broke records for Feb. 23 in parts of Southern California.
In Orange County, Anaheim tied a record for lowest maximum temperature at 58 degrees, a record previously established in 2001, according to the National Weather Service.
Riverside County saw records fall in two communities Wednesday. In Thermal, the high temperature hit only 58 degrees, lower than the previous record of 60 degrees in 1953; Idyllwild was at a maximum of 29 degrees breaking the previous record of 35 degrees in 2007.
Big Bear registered a maximum of 23 degrees, the previous record was from 2018 at 27 degrees.
