Consider the Rotary Club
The Anaheim Hills Rotary Club is in the midst of a membership drive and the club is extending an invitation to prospective members to attend one of its meetings to meet members and learn more about the nonprofit group.
The club meets for dinner Thursday evenings at the Anaheim Hills Golf Club.
Along with networking, members of Anaheim Hills Rotary support various projects globally and within the hills community including food drives for local food banks, purchasing educational programs and items through annual classroom grants for schools within the community, as well as purchasing and serving dinner to residents at the Ronald McDonald House each month.
Plans are currently underway for the club’s annual community Easter Egg Hunt.
In addition to community service opportunities, there is also an opportunity to not only network with local club members, but also with about 2,000 members of the 46 Rotary clubs in and around Orange County; and make friends through social outings as wine tasting, baseball games or dinners.
The Anaheim Hills club has a diverse membership, some of which includes an insurance agent, dentist, financial advisor, optometrist and engineer. However, past president Roy Jefferson says, “the club doesn’t have a mortgage broker, principal, teacher, estate attorney, physician or nurse.”
Jefferson also said that while Rotary memberships were once limited to one occupation per club, it is now open to members within the same profession.
