A U.S. Bank on Muirlands Boulevard in Mission Viejo was robbed just before 5 p.m. Friday afternoon, Orange County Sheriff’s Department officials said.
The suspect, described as a white male about 6 feet tall in his 50s or 60s, entered the bank and verbally demanded money, said Sgt. Todd Hylton, a spokesman for OCSD.
No weapon was seen and no injuries were reported, the suspect fled before police arrived.
He took an “undisclosed” amount of money, said Hylton.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI are investigating the incident. The investigation was ongoing.
