Jaylen Waddle is the latest Dolphin to get into the the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
At least his jersey is.
On Jan. 9, Waddle set the NFL record for receptions in a season by a rookie. On Friday, the shrine in Canton, Ohio, announced that the throwback jersey he wore that day would be on display.
Waddle, who finished the season with 104 receptions for 1,015 yards and six touchdowns, broke an 18-year-old record held by Pahokee legend Anquan Boldin. In 2003, Boldin caught 101 passes for 1,377 yards and eight touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Dolphins linebacking great Zach Thomas has hopes of becoming the 17th Dolphins player coach or executive to earn enshrinement when the final voting results are announced on Feb. 10, three days before the Super Bowl in Los Angeles.
The 10 people who spent the majority or entirety of their careers with the Dolphins and are already enshrined in the Hall of Fame: Paul Warfield, Larry Csonka, Jim Langer, Bob Griese, Larry Little, Don Shula, Dwight Stephenson, Nick Buoniconti, Dan Marino and Jason Taylor.
Additionally, six other shorter-term former members of the Dolphins franchise — Jimmy Johnson, Junior Seau, Cris Carter, Thurman Thomas, Bobby Beathard and Bill Parcells — also are enshrined.
