Tetairoa McMillan is sticking with his Servite brothers and heading to Arizona.
The five-star wide receiver signed Friday with the Wildcats, who flipped his commitment from Oregon to Tucson in a late, recruiting coup, Friars coach Troy Thomas confirmed Saturday morning.
Arizona also signed Servite quarterback Noah Fifita, tight end Keyan Burnett and linebacker Jacob Manu.
McMillan (6-4, 185) committed to the Ducks on Oregon on Aug. 16, announcing that his “lifelong dream” had become a “reality.”
But after Oregon coach Mario Cristobal left for Miami, McMillan said he felt uncertain about the Ducks and didn’t sign on Wednesday, the start of the early signing period. The signing period extended through Friday.
McMillan’s recruitment has been closely watched. He was named a finalist for Gatorade national player of the year after hauling in 88 receptions for over 1,000 yards and 18 TDs and grabbing eight interceptions on defense.
McMillan, Fifita and Burnett also have graduated early from Servite so they can enrolled early at Arizona.
McMillan’s ties to the group extends to their youth days playing for the O.C. Buckeyes.
This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
