A strong storm bringing snow and rain moved into Southern California on Monday night, prompting concerns about mudslides, debris flows, flooded waterways, closed roads and other hazards.

Residents in danger areas were told to either evacuate or be prepared to leave danger-prone areas. Residents can sign up for emergency alerts through their county emergency services agency.

Evacuation Orders

San Bernardino County

–An area near Lytle Creek, Glen Helen Parkway and the 210 Freeway north of Fontana was ordered evacuated because it’s in the South fire burn area.

–Areas northeast of Yucaipa were ordered evacuated because they are in the El Dorado fire burn area.

Evacuation Warnings

Orange County

An evacuation warning was issued for communities in the area of 2020’s Bond fire scar. These include Modjeska Canyon, Silverado Canyon and Williams Canyon.

Los Angeles County

A Flash Flood Watch was issued by the National Weather Service for areas affected by 2020’s Bobcat fire

An evacuation warning was issued for residents in the areas of Ridgeside Drive and Oakglade Drive in Monrovia

Riverside County

An evacuation warning was issued for Riverside County areas in the Apple and El Dorado fire burn scars

In addition, lose living or recreating in the Santa Ana River bottom — from the Riverside area to Corona — were urged to move to high ground.
